Adina, a multi-award-winning singer and songwriter, has urged patients with fibroid to not be afraid of surgery because it is not as horrible as the public portrays it to be.
Adina, who just underwent successful fibroids removal surgery and is now working to raise awareness about the disease and maybe gather funding to help victims, made this guarantee based on her own experience. The Ekumfi Princess, said this during an interview on eTV Ghana’s Girl Vibes.
“A lot of people are apprehensive about surgery because they do not know how their bodies will react to it. You may have it extremely awful or very good depending on how your body is before surgery, so they always advise that you eat well and basically prepare your body for what it is about to go through, “she said.
“If you make sure you are healthy before you go in and you listen to what the doctors say, you will be fine,” Adina advised. It is not as crazy as society portrays it to be. “
According to her, there was never a moment when she was in such much pain merely lying in bed after surgery because she had enough medication and, happily, a quick recovery.
Adina admitted that the major reason she gave that incredible, mind-blowing performance at the VGMA 2021 Xperience concert barely 5 weeks after surgery was to show people that there is still hope after surgery and when you have fibroid.
Adina has a video on her YouTube channel where she talks about her fibroid experience. Her goal is to raise awareness of fibroid and the importance for all women of recognizing changes in their bodies before it is too late.
