A leading UFO expert BELIEVES alien abductions are possible and likely – and that there’s evidence to support them.

Mutual UFO Network researcher Chris Jones said we can’t rule out the likelihood of alien abductions because of the sheer number of people coming forward to allege them.

Asked by Sky News Daily podcast host Dermot Murnaghan whether abductions are plausible, Chris replied: “I do.

“I think after seeing the stories and the testimony over years there’s a very big commonality between the cases.

“It definitely warrants the interest and investigation we give it, just as much as a UFO sighting because there definitely is something to this phenomenon.”

Chris was then asked: “Have aliens visited us here on earth? Are they among us now?”

He replied: “The data points to that.

“The amount of sightings and witnesses and experiences around the world point to the high probability that we do have species other than humans from beyond this earth interacting with the population of this planet.”

The recent uptick in UFO interest has been triggered by a major US government investigation into 144 so-called sightings between 2004 and 2021.

UFOs are now officially known as UAPs (which stands for “unidentified aerial phenomenon”) in a signal policymakers are willing to take the objects more seriously than ever before.

Ex-US Navy chief Sean Cahill said humans can’t rule out the possibility that the flying objects are here to survey – and possibly harm – us.

Mr Cahill also told the podcast: “Nature is bred in tooth and claw for certain, so I believe that what lies out there will probably be more recognisable than we’re expecting.”

The spotting got its nickname from the mint-shaped look of the unidentified object.

He later said he was terrified of the military capabilities held by the flying saucer – which far oustripped any human invention in terms of speed, agility, handling and more.

He told CNN: “The technology we witnessed with the Tic Tac was something that we would not have been able to defend our forces against at the time.

“It’s a technology that outstrips our arsenal by at least 100 to 1,000 years at the moment.”

But Cahill added we shouldn’t let our fear of UFOs or UAPs cloud our curiosity.

He told the Sky News host: “I think that we’ve been through a lot as a species.

“I think we’re ready for something new.

“I think we’re ready to take a big deep breath and perhaps reevaluate who we all are together, and this might be our chance.”
