Christian Atsu, a talented Ghanaian winger, has departed English Premier League side Newcastle United after failing to play in the first squad for the entire 2020/2021 season.
The 29-year-old gifted player’s football career appears to be coming to an end since no team has indicated interest in signing him.
Christian Atsu is one of the many Chelsea players who has spent time on loan at various clubs across the world.
Christian Atsu has played for Porto, Vitesse Arnhem, and Malaga CF in Portugal and the Netherlands. The Black Stars player has had loan spells with Bournemouth, Everton, and Newcastle in the English Premier League.
Many thought Christian Atsu’s career was starting to take shape when he was ultimately signed by Newcastle in the 2017/2018 season after spending a year on loan from Chelsea there.
As a result of his injuries, Christain Atsu was demoted, and when he recovered, there was no place for him in Steve Bruce’s team. As a result, he has failed to join the Black Stars team and has lost his starting spot to emerging talents such as Samuel Owusu.
Christian Atsu has expressed his gratitude to the club and believes the future holds wonderful things for him after announcing how horrible he feels about leaving when his contract expired.
