Ghana is currently facing one of the most difficult moments in the history of the country. The Democracy that is often preached about now seems like a fairly tale told to children to keep them happy.

For the past few days, the youth have been agitated over the current actions by the police and the military forces in the country. Rather than protect the citizens from harm, these bodies have inflicted unbearable pains by killing four unarmed innocent citizens for just protesting.

This caused a lot of uproar in the country with several people calling out the president to speak out and enforce some sanity among his people.

Well, a throwback video for the late Former President John Evans Atta Mills shows how Nana Addo who was then a Presidential aspirant described the Democratic system in Ghana.

According to Prof Mills in the video, ” Nana Addo is talking about fighting for democracy, fighting for human freedom. But it is quite clear they are following their tradition of “property owned Democracy”.
