Four children – between the ages of five and twelve – have been heavily wondered and battling between life and death after a bomb explosion at La in Accra.
according to sources, the children were playing around with a live grenade at a pigsty near their house on Tuesday which set to explosion. they are currently receiving treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
According to the father of the victims Mr. Adams, “they saw the bomb and they thought it was a toy or cocoa… after the explosion, a salon car pulled up with my children in there. One could not even move. Another had his shorts soaked in blood”
Mr. Adams told Joy News he has spent all his savings on making sure his children survive the bomb explosion. He has no idea how to take care of the children now as they have been transferred to the Military Hospital for further treatments.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has issued an alert to parents and guardians that “children should be discouraged from handling unfamiliar objects”.
