Gyaama Pensan Senior High School overcame Opoku Ware School and Achimota School to win the National Renewal Energy Competition 2021
According to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II;
“The school that leads all others is a sign of grandeur, and it must be acknowledged as such.”
Otumfuo went on to say that their honor is a clear evidence of the kids’ and staff’s hard work, as well as a statement that a school’s location does not matter and that greatness is attainable.
“Winning first place in the renewable energy competition demonstrates that you are performing well in science and that you have the potential to achieve even better.
“You went ahead of Achimota and Opoku Ware, therefore you should know that your school is outstanding,” Otumfuo added
“It makes no difference where a school is located; when I met you, I knew that your medal demonstrated that both instructors and students were performing well.”
the headmistress of Gyaama Pensan SHS, Madam Stella Naaenyo Atease, escorted the students and staff to Manhyia Palace.
She said that the Energy Commission and the Ghana Education Service launched the National Renewal Energy Competition for Senior High Schools, and that their school competed in the Kumasi and Northern sector contests before making it to the grand finals in the Greater Accra Region.
“We became engaged in the renewable energy competition and won first place in Kumasi in the Northern area.” Gyaama Pensan SHTS is now the winner of the renewable energy challenge 2021.”
