Emmanuel Owusu Bonsu, known, in music circles as Wanlov the Kubolor, has said that he will not endorse any political party.
He said this on Citi TV‘s lifestyle variety show, Upside Down on Saturday when he was asked whether he will support any political party ahead of the upcoming polls.
“Never! I’m not interested in that kind of change,” he retorted.
A number of celebrities throw their weight behind political parties during election seasons.
The music producer on Upside Down was worried about the level of violence in Ghana’s political system, especially as the election beckons.
“I’m worried. It just seems to be getting more and more aggressive,” he lamented.
He expressed worry over people engaging in all manner of activities in their quest to win power.
Wanlov the Kubolor is widely acclaimed for his debut album ‘Green Card’ released in late 2007 when he returned to Ghana after 7 years of his stay in the United State of America.
He has songs such as ‘Kokonsa’, ‘Human Being’, ‘African Gypsy’, ‘Smallest Time’, among others.
