The Member of Parliament for Krowo constituency in the Greater Accra region, Mrs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has hit the grounds running with educational materials to support some students and pupils in her area as they return to school.

 

The students comprise tertiary and Secondary students received undisclosed cash amount, nose mask, exercise books and mathematical sets.

 

The move by the MP is to support parents as they prepare for the return if their wards to school after barely ten months stay at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

More than three thousand students and pupils in the Krowor Constituency have received learning materials and cash support as they return to school.

After more than ten months stay at home due to the coronavirus pandemic and its attendant negetive impact on the livelihoods of most people, it is believed that most parents are still faced with the challenge of providing the needed materials for their wards return to school. It is for this reason the Krowor lawmaker, is supporting parents with some funds and learning essentials to aid the students and pupils.

”I’m a mother and I know how it feels in times like this when schools reopens especially in this time of COVID-19 pandemic hence my resolve to help the students from kindergarten to tertiary levels”.

“This support is a fulfillment of my promise to the people of krowor constituency to make sure every child had to go to school to become a better people in future”. She disclosed

Madam Momo Lartey also explained that, the items and financial support she was given out is not coming from the government support nor from common fund but purely from her educational projects she was doing even before she won the just ended December 7 2020 elections.

Some beneficiaries of the MP’s support thanked Mrs Lartey for the kind gesture even though some of them are not her party members.
