Personnel of the Ghana Police Service have arrested four persons believed to be one of the accomplices in the James Town bullion van robbery which took the life of a Police officer and a pregnant woman.
According to a report by Daily Guide, one of the four persons was arrested in far away Kyebi in the Eastern Region of Ghana whiles receiving treatment from a gunshot wound he suffered during the attack.
The suspects are Collins Addae aka Kekye from Akim-Swedru; Ebenezer Gyimah, aka Peace and Musa Kamara, 26; with his brother Suleman Ketah, 26 years old alias 69, both from Guinea.
The four are said to be on the police wanted list.
The Ghana Police Service has mounted a guard around him as doctors and nurses attend to his wounds. The police shot him in his left knee after he tried crossing fire with them.
The police will process the culprit for court to explain why he shot and killed their colleague and two civilians in the Bullion Van attack.
The police in a statement also urged the public to support their work by offering credible information to aid police investigations.
“The police continue to urge the public to support our work of ensuring the safety of communities with credible information. Informants are assured of the strictest confidentiality,” the statement said.
