The Ghana Police Service is said to have detained Ibrahim ‘Kaaka’ Mohammed’s brother.
He was seized by the police at his house in Ejura on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, according to a Class FM report.
Elisha Adarkwah, Class FM’s Eastern regional correspondent, verified the arrest to another sibling of the deceased.
Mohammed’s brother was detained based on information from an anonymous source who claimed that he was engaged in the deceased’s murder.
He is believed to be in the custody of the Ejura Police Department, where he is aiding them with their investigations.
Ibrahim Muhammed, a 40-year-old father of six, was brutally killed by unknown assailants outside his home in Ejura, Ghana’s Ashanti Region.
His death is thought to be linked to his activity as an activist, both online and offline, as part of the Fix The Country campaign.
Sahada Hudu, the deceased’s widow, claimed he had gotten warnings about his activism from someone she knew, but that her efforts to dissuade him from putting himself in risk were fruitless since he proceeded with his campaigning.
Following his death, Ejura’s youngsters staged a protest to demand answers from authorities.
