Sergio Manucho, a Hitz FM radio presenter, has uncovered Census employees who use the sensitive details they enter into their database, including phone numbers, to track down new ladies.

In the studios of the Accra-based radio station, a visibly enraged Manucho could be seen voicing his displeasure at the way these individuals had exploited the nature of the profession to prey on young girls, including those who were plainly underage.

The Ghana Statistical Service launched the 2021 Population and Housing Census on Sunday, June 27, 2021. (GSS).

The census was supposed to take place in 2020, but, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be delayed. The Vice-President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, began a countdown branded “100 days to the 2021 Population and Housing Census” before the process.
