A video depicts the tragic deaths of five individuals who were struck by gunshots fired by military troops dispatched to Ejura to de-escalate tensions.
Three individuals died on the site, while two others were treated on the spot for injuries of various severity.
Following the assassination of Mohammed Kaaka, a political activist and participant in the #FixTheCountry protest, Ejura’s outraged youths staged a demonstration.
When the military was called in to help, they ended up shooting bullets at the kids, killing three individuals on the spot. A large number of other people have been hurt.
Many Ghanaians are pleading for their safety and security.
