The man of God claimed in a lecture on Sunday, May 30, 2021, titled “The Anointing for Impact,” that there are seven pillars through which we might use the anointing of God to tackle problems: government, economy, education, family, religion, arts, entertainment, sports, and the media.

Our film industry, according to Bishop Agyinasare, has increasingly drifted away from our core cultural values and beliefs.

He went on to say that most movie producers nowadays focus on comedy and romance in order to make money rather than expressing the Ghanaian story through their films.

“we are losing our identity to telenovelas because as a people, movies tell how we behave. If you watch American movies, most of them show you how the people live in America. Drugs, shooting, killing, etc. If you watch our movies, apart from the comedy, which makes us laugh, most of the movies don’t tell our story”. He told the congregation.

He used an action film starring David Dontoh called “The Tiger of Nwamba” that he saw in the late 1990s to push filmmakers to step up their game.

He said it was past time for films to be made about the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Yaa Asantewaa, the 1844 Bond, and how our people fought foreign force.
